The Call to Bar ceremony for the Nigerian Law School for 2026 has come and gone but not some of the pictures that gives us an insight to the faces in the judicial establishment in Nigeria today. It is not routine to find that concentration in one place and time.
Over 6000 newly minted lawyers were called to the Bar at this particular ceremony. There are no statistics to show immediately by how far or otherwise this figure compares with the previous exercise. The assumption is that it is an improvement. Whether the improvement is more quantitative than qualitative or both quantitative and qualitative is a different debate. Or, it is a debate for another day!
