It's all like yesterday. The man in this picture was an undergraduate who lived in the house of a senior academic staff of Bayero University, Kano where and when the lady in the picture was born. That must be around 1995. Now, the young has not only grown into a woman and a graduate but also an academic. The man is Mister Adagbo Onoja, Editorial Coordinator of Intervention while the young woman is Zarah Y'au, Mallam Y. Z. Y'au's first daughter. The two met again for the first time since she left for the university and Onoja would not have recognised her if they met on the main road. God is, indeed, great. But for the troubling problems of our society, who says we haven't got millions of reasons to be happy and grateful?
Joining the spectacle are (L-R) Dr Aminu Aliyu, the Bayero University, Kano Economist known more by his ideological name ‘Aminu Kano’, Onoja, Zarah Y’au and Hajia Saudatu Mahdi, the Secretary General of Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternatives, (WRAPA). It was at the opening ceremony of the Digital Summer School for Young Nigerian Women at Abuja yesterday
