Both share a commonality – they are all of Veritas University, Abuja. But whereas Dr. Solomon Ogaba teaches Philosophy in the university, Rosezita Ilokaba is an undergraduate, studying Political Science and Diplomacy. They are all united in stylishly approaching marriage from the idyllic of the campus.

Rosezita’s style is to get it done as an undergraduate. And to make it happen towards the close of the year – December 27th. There is style in that. Congratulated by Dr Innocent Jooji, her Head of Department, “for courageously embarking on a journey of faith and love”, Rosezita’s a good case of reverse PhD: She is getting a degree in Political Science and Diplomacy very soon which equips her for the world after the campus. With her formal wedding to her beau today, she has got a husband which stands for the ‘h’. By God’s grace, a child/children would follow in the not too distant future, making the ‘p’ in the acronym, the first ‘p’ standing for what grammarians in the spaces of the everyday call pickin.
It is not surprising that she is swimming in a flood of congratulatory messages from fellow students, teachers and sundry well wishers. Those messages speak to a recognition of her ability to harmonise the manifest as well as the latent dimensions of her mission to Veritas University. That is managing a purposive relationship with the manifest objective of studying for a degree at the university. Of course, it could also be testament for her mastery of Political Science since there may exist no higher politics than negotiating the complexity of two different persons leaving their different parents and transforming into a completely new oneness.
It will take some time before the messages of congratulations stops coming for Rosezita!

Dr. Solomon Ogaba actually started it all last November with his engagement with his beau and the wa-oh pictures that emanated from the ceremony. That he found his heart’s desire can be seen from the pictures, two of them on display here. The university community could not help wishing Dr. Ogaba a fulfilled marital life as he commenced a pleasant marital journey.
