In what appears to be the unfolding of a sub-text in Nigeria’s acrimonious inter-regional relations, some elders and leaders from Igboland paid Professor Ango Abdullahi a visit early evening Monday, June 12th, 2017. Prof Abdullahi, former Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in the 1980s, has been a vocal defender of the north against onslaught from their southern compatriots, especially Igbo secessionist move. The gist source said the Igbo leaders were led by Major Al-Mustapha, CSO to late military leader, General Sani Abacha.
