It is neither the Nobel Prize for Literature nor the Booker Prize but there is no less the tension over who wins the next round of the category prizes now being highly awaited. That is the Pan African Writers Association, (PAWA) poetry prize.
Well, the waiting game will soon be over for this round. By the end February 2022, the judges will come up with the winning list of the $2000 per category Prizes
The judges already cracking the brains includes Prof Kwadwo Opoku-Agyemang from Ghana; John Rusimbi from Rwanda; Dr Idris Okpanachi from Nigeria; Lillian Aujo from Uganda and Maureen Isaacson from South Africa.
The shortlist from which the winners will emerge is:

Dr. Wale Okediran, Secretary General of PAWA from whom came the statement is already commending the judges for their hard work and dedication.
