Reports from Kano suggest that Dr. Junaid Mohammed is dead. He is most known as the unsparing medical doctor turned politician who made waves as a young member of the House of Representatives in the Second Republic.
No one could confirm what might have led to his death but the news is already circulating on responsible Whatsapp platforms. Also unknown at the moment are the details of his last moments or whether this has anything to do with Covid-19. What has, however, been confirmed is that he died in his house in Kano, not in the hospital. That suggests that his death might have nothing to do with Covid-19. Interestingly, Dr. Mohammed is a Soviet trained medical practitioner.
He has been very vocal on the Buhari regime, most of the times shelling the president for nepotism but on certain issues, taking the president’s side. He never circulated in any other political party other than the People’s Redemption Party, (PRP) on which platform he went to the House of Representatives in 1979.
