From the vantage point of serving together in the Power Sharing committee of the Constitutional Conference during the Abacha regime in 1994, Engineer Muhammed Abba-Gana, former FCT Minister in the Obasanjo administration, is saying that Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua who died earlier this week would be greatly missed in the public affairs of the northern states of Nigeria and the country as a whole.
He described the Alhaji Isa in a condolence message to the family as a “kind and forceful personality from the northern part of Nigeria and a patriotic leader”.
“This is to extend my heartfelt condolence to all the members of the family of late Malam Ismaila Isa Funtua”, he said in the condolence message.
Engineer Abba-Gana is praying God to grant all the members of his family the fortitude to bear the loss as well as forgive Malla Isa Funtua his sins and Aljannah Firdaws. Amin.
Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua, a businessman, politician and media mogul died last Monday in the hospital where he drove himself to see a doctor for medical checkup.
