Time with Jesus Christ’s ‘little children’
If music from the party was not heard well into Abuja and beyond, it must be because it was a low-key affair. Otherwise, it was birthday anniversary galore for multiple role player, Dr. Innocent Jooji, on January 1st when he clocked an additional year. Organised by ‘brothers and sisters’, some of them students, some corpers and right in the village in Benue State, his priest’s Cassock as well as the academic regalia gave way to the cap made of the cultural regalia of the Tiv nationality.
It is dancing time at the get-together while the inviting birthday cake is waiting. The lady who baked the cake has an interesting history of determination and innovation!

In line with its approval of wherever human beings are happy, Intervention brings one or two pictures from the occasion, one of which features Prof John Sambe in an obviously expansive mood at Jooji’s birthday party. Sambe is the Dean of the College of Social Sciences at Veritas University where Jooji is the Head of the Department of Political Science. Wishing Fr. Jooji a great 2019 ahead!
