The presidential election result in respect of Nasarawa State has gone viral in the social media. And readers are asking questions if it is authentic. As announced by Prof Azubuike, the Returning Officer for the election in the State, the total votes cast is higher than the number that was accredited. The breakdown of what is being circulated goes like this:
Total Number of registered voters: 1,401,895
Number of voters accredited: 489,482
Votes confirmed valid: 580,778
Number of votes rejected: 18,621
Total: 599,399
The share of each of the two leading parties is
All Progressives Congress, (APC): 289,903
People’s Democratic Party, (PDP): 283,847
