A listserve has been circulating this picture showing a missing boy who has been found and the authorities are looking for the parents to come, claim him. There are no clear explanations how the little guy might have sneaked away or whether someone tried to steal him. It is not clear if the parents have been found but the picture arrived at Intervention less than thirty minutes ago.
The belief is that child thieves or people trading in children abound in the cities and extra care is needed by all those whom God has blessed with children. In the olden day, women or maids from whose care children got missing were compelled by local authorities to drink a mug of water whether they are thirsty or not before the child is returned to them. It is not clear if there is any penalty anymore.
