Death and displacement figures from Indonesia where the September 28/29th earthquake took place in its Palu province are rising. Some aid agencies and Indonesian national emergency institutions are estimating over 1000 persons already dead while entire communities are displaced. As usual in such circumstances, the problem is always the speed of getting relief materials to the most affected communities.

Nigeria is understood not to be within plausible axis of earthquake but in a world of threats without homeland, how prepared is the country to cope with complex emergencies?
