He is Solomon Sylvester Boyi but he is also known and called Swanta, Kagoro language for something like ‘welcome to the world’. In case the name doesn’t strike you quickly, think back to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he read History years back. In other words, he is a product of History, one of that university’s strongest disciplines. He is a product of the famous Zaria School of History.
But, between now and December 7th, 2019, you may do well not to ask him any questions about History. He may just not know because his brain is under occupation by Comfort Lawrence Shemang, his beau who will be formally confirmed his wife on December 7th, 2019 in Kaduna State.
As the above picture suggests, they are in their own world. On that day, the couple will fulfill the second criteria for being normal human beings. That is to be able to love. The first one is to be able to work. Although Mrs Right has just graduated and will start looking for where to settle down after the wedding, she has accumulated some work experience. She can, therefore, be said to have fulfilled that criterion. Boyi, on the other hand is already an upcoming Historian at Veritas University, Abuja. Each of the couple has, therefore, fulfilled the criterion of working. What they are set to do now is to fulfil the second. For Boyi, he will be confirming that ‘All men are but great children’ ala Plato, meaning they are incomplete until they find the missing pair.
It will not be too much to assume that the world which prizes the marriage institution so much will have no problem obliging Boyi leave of absence from worrying about historical scholarship for the rest of the year because he is just unlikely to get a grip of himself in scholarship before then. Intervention congratulates Mr and Mrs Right ahead of the D-Day!
