The cars in these pictures belong to a well known politician in Sokoto, Sokoto State. He cannot have vandalised his own cars although Intervention is not as interested in who did it as much as it is interested in whether this could be a signal of how the political contest in 2019 might look like: intolerant, violent. If this is a signal, who then can do anything to stem that and quickly too?
Is it possible that the players in Nigerian politics do not know and/or do not care that these sort of images are what some people out there in global centers of power assemble as evidence of the claim of ‘inevitability of instability’ in Nigeria?
