It is yet another time for us to celebrate the worthy life of a mentor, a boss and, of course, a benefactor for hundreds of (us) his protégés. Dr. Adamu Abdullahi A, Sa’in Jama’are and the Executive Commissioner (Operations) at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection (FCCPC) has been wellspring of inspiration for us for his life as an epitome of humility and warm heartedness.
Beyond this, our own baba Sa’i (as we fondly call him), being a seasoned civil servant with wide experiences as administrator, consumer protector in the aviation and then now at the FCCPC Nigeria (an agency mandated to protect the right of consumers of goods and services in Nigeria) remains a sort of mentorship clinic for yet another hundreds of his mentees currently being minted by him. At this level, our own baba Sa’i is a paragon of hard work, tenacity and determination.
What’s puzzling with describing the worthy life of great personalities like our own baba Sa’i is the difficulty in getting the exact and appropriate adjectives to describe such lives that greatly impacted many. I always find it difficult describing a personality such as baba Sa’i, but a Roman philosopher, Cicero, came to my aid and I’m sure had some people in mind like our boss when he averred thus: “the higher we are placed, the more humble we should walk… “. It is surely that this philosophical cliche has relatively done well in describing our mentor who is well schooled in the Cicero leadership academy. For this, we are lucky for being schooled in the Baba Sa’i Academy of Leadership. A hatchery of future leaders!
My conclusion about what such kind mind deserves is prayers. As you celebrate yet another birthday, we wish you more prosperous returns and good health. Allah Ya kara wa rayuwa Albarka Ya albarkachi zuriya! Happy birthday Sir!
